Tasting Notes

Dull garnet red colour. A bouquet of macerated rose petals, fruits of the forest and liquorice root. A pretty, elegant mouthfeel, with well amalgamated and velvety tannins. A fresh palate, with vigour continuing through to the end. Persistent, it closes with an aftertaste of blackberries.

Pairing

Bruno Giacosa's Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore DOC pairs magnificently with most things other than fish, particularly lasagne and meat-based mains, with dishes that aren't too complicated. Exceptional also with medium-mature cheese boards.

Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore DOC 2014 - Bruno Giacosa: Why we like it

Bruno Giacosa's Nebbiolo Valmaggiore is born from grapes supplied by growers with whom the estate has been working for years, historic local winegrowers chosen carefully by Bruno over the years. The grapes come from the famous Valmaggiore vineyard and age for about 14 months. A very feminine and elegant Nebbiolo, it offers a sip of infinite and delicious pleasure.
