As we observe the Italian wine-producing landscape it is hard to find any other producer that is so deeply rooted in its origins as is Sicily’s Donnafugata winery. Now some 30 years later, Donnafugata is seen divided into three large areas of production ranging from the legendary vineyards on Pantelleria island to the historical cellars in Marsala and finally to the headquarters located on the Tenuta Contessa Entellina estate in the heart of western Sicily. This winery produces wines that tell the sensory tale of Sicilian life–wines characterised by an impeccable overall quality resulting from a production process that seeks to respect the grape from vine to cellar.
