Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red colour in the glass. The bouquet reveals the quintessence of a great Barbera. intense notes of dark fruit, raspberries and cherries, violets and wisteria. Incredibly structured on the palate, balanced and crisp. Sip after sip, it develops layer upon layer, with a long fruity finish.

Pairing

Ideal with all courses of a meal, Bruno Giacosa's Barbera pairs splendidly with ravioli del plin and other types of filled pasta.

Barbera d’Alba DOC 2014 - Bruno Giacosa: Why we like it

Not just Nebbiolo. Bruno Giacosa makes wines capable of embracing the Langhe in their entirety, from Arneis to Dolcetto, from Nebbiolo to Barbera. The estate's Barbera is a wine capable of combining all the natural expression of the grape variety with the elegance that distinguishes the whole Giacosa range. A juicy, crisp, sincere wine which looks the taster straight in the eye and is made memorable by all these characteristics, presented with the utmost finesse.
