Tasting Notes

Ruby red colour with purplish highlights. On the nose, floral aromas, notes of small red fruits, blackcurrants, blackberries, a touch of toast and woody notes; on the palate, it is round, inviting, with silky and balanced tannins and a long persistence.

Pairing

It goes well with elaborate red meat dishes and mature cheeses.

Produced by Château Brane Catenac, Margaux 'Baron de Brane' is made from a blend of red grapes from vineyards located on the very favourable terroir of the Brane plateau, composed of deep gravel and clay. Thanks also to the favourable climatic conditions, it is possible to obtain an extremely elegant wine with varied and concentrated aromas. It is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
