Tasting Notes

Dark and dense ruby red in the glass, with evident purple reflections. Hints of ripe berries and cherry jam open the nose, then it’s characterized by spices, vanilla, star anise and dark chocolate. On the palate it’s soft and silky with the tannic texture, warm and long-lasting, pleasantly balsamic in the finish.

Pairing

Ideal to pair with red meat, try it with horse stew as well.

Toscana Rosso IGT "Blend 2" 2016 - Fattoria di Piazzano: Why we like it

Sangiovese, colorino and black malvasia: the "revenge of the natives". If it were a movie, there would have been no better title to describe “Blend 2” signed “Fattoria di Piazzano”.
It’s a territorial Red from Tuscany and true to its origins. It fermented only on indigenous yeasts and aged for one year in French oak barrels. Finally, six months of bottle aging complete the picture.
It’s a red wine that always goes splendidly with red meats: pair it with horse stew and you won’t be disappointed.
