Bortolomiol

Prosecco is one of the world successes of Italian oenology: synonymous with cheerfulness and lightheartedness, it perfectly embodies the excellence of "Made in Italy" that makes Italy famous all over the world. Among the many producers who are included in the production area of this wine, there’s a winery that has always made it a philosophy: we’re talking about Bortolomiol, whose origins date back to the 18th century, with Bartolomeo, who devoted his entire life to growing vines on the hills of Valdobbiadene. Another central man in the history of the company is Giuliano, who, after World War II, committed to restoring the destroyed and abandoned vineyards, with the goal of bringing Prosecco from a local product to an internationally recognized sparkling wine. Today the company is led by Giuliano's four daughters, who are dedicated to respect those principles of quality and territory that have always characterized Bortolomiol's vision. In the approximately 5 hectares of property, various grapes are grown, obviously leaving the place of honor to the queen grape of this area, glera; the daily operations in the vineyard are carried out following the principles of organic and integrated pest management, seeking low environmental impact, while in the cellar the team led by the great Roberto Cipresso always works with the utmost care. The result of this philosophy leads to elegant, fine bottles, which reach important qualitaty peaks with the "Bandarossa", the Superiore di Cartizze, the "Grand Cuvée del Fondatore" awarded by Gambero Rosso with 3 Bicchieri, and with the " Ius Naturae ”, organic Vintage Brut also appreciated by international critics. The company's gaze is turned with optimism and openness to the future, where the development of new commercial markets is aligned with the pursuit of ethics and the desire to carry out important projects at an environmental and humanitarian level.
