Known for Amarone, Bertani is not only Valpolicella wine country’s most influential and important winery but it is also one of Italy’s most prestigious and well-known wine producers. Its history dates back to 1857 when brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani first established the winery, after the latter finished a lengthy apprenticeship under the guidance of the great Professor Guyot in France. From then on, tradition and innovation have always marched alongside one another, paving the way to several investments both in the vineyard and the cellar, and finally leading to the acquisition of the marvellous Villa Novare- an estate that has come to represent the incredible work of the Bertani family.
