Château Galoupet

Château du Galoupet, Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence since 1955, stands on the coast of La Londe-les-Maures, facing the Mediterranean islands of Porquerolles, Port Cros and Le Levant; it’s a privileged area, where the fresh sea breezes favour the regularity of the yields and the production of wines of particular finesse. The property vineyard, of 68 hectares – among the rows, partly old, partly new, varieties such as cinsault, grenache, rolle, semillon, syrah and tibourin –, gives three different types of wine: mostly rosé, and some red and white. It’s the rosé of Château du Galoupet, in fact, that enjoys undisputed fame. Acquired in 2019 by Moët Hennessy, Château du Galoupet has been in organic conversion since August 2020; all of its 41 plots are, in fact, rigorously treated, in order to produce superb Côtes de Provence. In addition to environmentally friendly viticulture, there is also an innovative packaging, which pays attention to eco-sustainability; for the Cru Classé, in fact, there are bottles made with 70% recycled glass, while for Galoupet Nomade there are innovative bottles made with oceanic plastic, 10 times lighter than the average. With the new management, two new rosés were launched on the market: the Cru Classé and the Galoupet Nomade.
