Château Pape Clément

Château Pape Clément is located in Pessac, in the Graves area, near the city of Bordeaux. To trace its origins, one must go back in time to the 13th century, when the vineyards of the Pessac area were donated to Bertrand de Goth. In 1305, he became Pope with the name of Clement V. The estate has gone through history of France between wars and various vicissitudes until 1939, when it was bought by Paolo Montagne, who at the end of the Second World War began a work of arranging and renovating the vineyards, which brought the Château back to the level of its noble and ancient origins. A process carried out by Bernard Magrez, at the helm of the company since 1980, who has been able to elevate the labels of Château Pape Clément to the qualitative heights of the Appellation.
