Tasting Notes

This lovely ruby red wine features a bouquet characterised by floral notes that recall the scent of violets, as well as fruity notes of marasca cherry. Whereas in the mouth it is well-balanced, smooth on the palate and features a persistent finish.

Pairing

This is a perfect wine to uncork during the most relaxed and informal of occasions. It makes a great accompaniment for traditional Tuscan tomato soup called “pappa al pomodoro”.

Chianti DOCG “Sorrettole” 2013 - La Querce: Why we like it

La Querce’s “Sorrettole” Chianti DOCG is produced using Sangiovese grapes that are highlighted by the presence of small quantities of Colorino and Merlot. It is a smooth, casual wine that adds a touch of glamour to everyday occasions. Aged for a few months in steel tanks, this wine proves to be greatly enjoyable both in terms of aroma and taste.
