Tasting Notes

Château Sociando-Mallet is undoubtedly a reference requiring a special attention: placed on a terroir considered at the same level as Montrose or Latour. This château doesn’t fall within the classification, but every year it surprises the critics, who associate it with a 3éme Grand Cru Classé. An almost equal blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (respectively, 54% and 44%) makes Château Sociando-Mallet a wine of great identity, which in this 2021 confirms a dense profile, with a pulpy fruit, both on the nose and in the mouth. Even now, it forewarns a richness that will amaze us over time.
