The complex bouquet of tobacco notes, cigar box, mocha, milk chocolate and liquorice gives a feeling of great comfort. It is a wine without edges, made of a soft and round texture.

A wonderful ambassador of the Médoc, Château Maucaillou each year delivers wines that Parker does not hesitate to compare to Grand Cru Classé. And there is no doubt that it does indeed deserve this mention, since its vineyard saw the light before the 1855 classification. A champion who, vintage after vintage, excels in the art of presenting wines accessible to the general public, and also with great ageing potential.
