Tasting Notes

With its 86% cabernet-sauvignon, Léoville Las Cases 2023 is undoubtedly one of the most structured and elegant wines in its history, very reminiscent of the excellent 2021 vintage with the fate we know. This serious, straight, beautifully structured wine offers maximum concentration and depth, with tannins of great finesse. Black fruits and a touch of new wood form a taut mouthfeel of subtle freshness.

The Grand Enclos de Las Cases contains a very complex and varied terroir. The proximity of the Gironde explains this great diversity of soils, created over geological periods by successive superimpositions. In addition, the river generates a very specific microclimate that allows the grapes to ripen very early and protects the vineyard from frost. This ideal terroir gives Las Cases its unique personality.
