Château Chasse Spleen

Château Chasse Spleen is located in the village of Moulis en Médoc, from which the homonymous appellation in Haut-Médoc, a prestigious Bordeaux area on the bank of the Gironde, originates. Approximately 107 total hectares of property, 80 hectares of which are planted with vines, standing on the slopes of the Grand-Poujeaux apparatus. They are aged on average 30 years and are mainly cabernet sauvignon (about 73%) and merlot (about 20%), with a small part of petit verdot. The soil has special characteristics: it’s made up of four parcels of Quaternary graves and 80% is made up of the famous graves of the Garonne and 20% of clay and limestone. Always in female hands, the Château is now managed by Céline Villars-Foubet and the only wine produced falls within the special Bordeaux appellation Moulis en Médoc.
