Tasting Notes

Intense right from the start. It reveals concentrated aromas of fresh, fully ripe black fruit, with notes of currant and blackberry subtly underlined by touches of graphite and cocoa bean. It shows depth, body, generosity and creaminess, softness, aristocracy and great purity. Memories of cedar wood, spices and white pepper complete the palette. Its complexity, aromas and tannins, with their delicate liquorice note, seem endless.

Pauillac AOC 1er Grand Cru Classé 2023 - Château Mouton Rothschild (cassetta di legno): Why we like it

‘The King of Pauillac, Château Mouton Rothschild once again asserts itself in this vintage as one of the most eagerly awaited of the Primeurs campaign. It is a wine that stands out for its decisive, paunchy character, but always marked by the natural elegance that this appellation brings.
It is a Mouton with a strong identity: straight and taut, it develops an intense aromatic bouquet and a proverbial length on the palate. It is one of the best expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon in the region, selected with maniacal care by the technical team to succeed, year after year, in the feat of creating a masterpiece of strength and finesse. And we are confident that they have succeeded again this year.’
