Saint-Émilion AOC "Le Petit Cheval" 2023 - Château Cheval Blanc (cassetta di legno): Why we like it

‘As Pierre Lurton, president of Château Cheval Blanc, says: “I have a symphony orchestra, why not have all the elements play?” This is how Petit Cheval was born, a wine that was not designed to be a second vin, but rather a different interpretation of this extraordinary terroir. Thus, from the 50 plots of the domaine, the same ones that make up Cheval Blanc, the blend for this wine is chosen. Different, of course, because different is the interpretation intended: a more immediate wine, which immediately stands out on the nose for its hints of dark-skinned fruit (blueberry and plum). In the mouth, it is crisp, fresh and with nice dry tannins.
We can only applaud Pierre Lurton: his orchestra, with Le Petit Cheval, once again played divine music this year.’
