Tasting Notes

There are notes of red and dark fruits on the nose, along with a nice hint of smoky and liquorice, which complemented each other well. The precise and silky tannin makes it medium-bodied. Lovely green and wet stone notes, accompanied by a very pleasant acidity are the signature of Cabernet Franc. Radiant.

Unanimously recognised as the greatest Saint-Émilion phenomenon of the last 10 years, after reaching the top of the classification system - Saint-Émilion's 1er Grand Cru Classé A - the de Boüard family decided to leave the classification system along with other big names. Situated less than a kilometre from the famous bell tower of Saint-Émilion, at the foot of the hill facing south, Château Angelus benefits from an exceptional terroir largely dedicated to Cabernet Franc. It is this unique character that makes up the signature Cru each year.

This bottle comes from private collections, restaurants, wine shops, or rare wines merchants. Before being put on sale, it has been carefully checked by the Tannico Team.
