Tasting Notes

Intense ruby red to the eye, the nose is immediately captivated by a powerful perfume, which is structured on fruity notes, pepper, violet flowers, leather and wet stone. On the palate the importance of the sip is immediately evident, and is confirmed by a powerful and well-defined tannic texture, supported by an exceptional acidity.

Châteauneuf du Pape Pape Rouge “Hommage à Jacques Perrin” is one of those wines difficult to explain in words alone. The label pays homage to Jacques Perrin, an emblematic character of the Rhone Valley, at the head of the winery until 1978, who established himself as a free and visionary thinker in the world of wine: a pioneer, first among the first, he turned to organic and then biodynamic approach from the 60s and 70s.
