CHÂTEAU POUJEAUX

Château Poujeaux is located in the village of Moulis en Médoc, part of the Haut-Médoc region, which lies on the banks of the Garonne River in the Bordeaux area. The current owner, Philippe Cuvelier - already owner of Château Clos Fourtet, 1er Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion - took over Château Poujeaux in 2008 and, with the help of his son Matthieu, has dedicated himself to reviving the fortunes of Château Poujeaux, restoring it to its former glory. The vineyards extend in a single block to the north-east of the village of Moulis and are mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc accounting for only 10% of the vineyard. Three wines are produced, all red: “Château Poujeaux”, “La Salle de Poujeaux” and “Haut de Poujeaux”.
