CHÂTEAU SAINT-ROBERT

On the left bank of the Garonne River, more precisely in Pujols-sur-Ciron, a small town on the outskirts of Barsac, we find Château Saint-Robert. We are in Gironde, in the New Aquitaine region. When we begin to tell the story of the Château, it is immediately clear that this is a production facility with a truly ancient history. Suffice it to say that, as early as 1686, a certain Jea Duroy used to produce wine in this very area. Later, during the French Revolution, the Château was nationalised. The next owner, Poncet Deville, helped to give the estate a significant boost, modernising it and making it more efficient. Today, Château Saint-Robert is owned by the BPCE Domaines holding company, which also owns Château Beauregard and Pavillon Bel-Air in Pomerol.
