THE BEST TUSCAN WHITE WINES

Our Collection: Discover White Tuscan Wines

Welcome to Tannico's selection of Tuscan white wines, gems often hidden in the shadow of the region's famous reds. We have gathered for you the best of a production that surprises with its freshness, minerality and territorial character. Each bottle in our collection reveals an unexpected aspect of Tuscan wine: from the hills of San Gimignano to the sea breezes of the coast, passing through lesser-known areas with an extraordinary vocation for white grapes.

The Leading Grape Varieties: Tradition and Territoriality

Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the first Italian wine to obtain DOC status in 1966, represents the aristocracy of Tuscan whites with its savoury and structured profile. Vermentino expresses its maritime soul on the Tuscan coast, producing wines of great freshness and aroma. Trebbiano, often underrated, finds new dignity in the hands of the best producers, while varieties such as Ansonica, Malvasia and Viognier complete a surprisingly rich varietal mosaic for a region famous for its reds.

The Masters of Tuscan White Wine: Excellence and Innovation

Vernaccia finds exceptional interpreters in producers such as Montenidoli, capable of enhancing its structure and longevity. On the coast, Le Macchiole elevates Vermentino to wines of international character. Innovators such as Fontodi and Antinori have demonstrated the suitability of certain areas for international varieties, while pioneers such as Castello di Ama have rediscovered the potential of forgotten native vines, contributing to the rebirth of Tuscan white wines.
