Brand
Alheit Vineyards is a small, family-run South African winery founded in 2010 by husband and wife Chris and Suzaan Alheit. After meeting at one of South Africa's most renowned universities, Stellenbosch, the couple gained a wealth of experience and worked on many harvests before deciding to start producing their own wine in the Cape Town area.
Their production philosophy focuses most of their attention and efforts on the vineyard, where they work strictly by hand, using only sustainable principles and grass cover between the rows, which is essential for preserving the optimal vitality of the soil. The main grape variety grown on their vineyards is undoubtedly Chenin Blanc, alongside a few plots dedicated to Sémillon and Muscat of Alexandria.
Alheit Vineyards produces a range of South African wines, mainly whites, obtained mainly from the area's flagship variety, vinified in purity through respectful processes in the cellar. These are elegant wines that faithfully reflect their territory of origin.
