EMILIEN FÉNEUIL

Emilien Féneuil is a young and talented artisan winemaker who works his plots near Sermiers, a commune located in the Marne department.
His vineyards, classified as 1er Cru, face east, north and west and are located between Reims and Epernay, in the Montagne de Reims area.
The soil in which they grow is quite salty; sand, marl, clay and limestone release a lot of salinity, which is also found in Emilien's wines.
The four parcels of land are divided between Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Petit Meslier; The vineyards are organically farmed, so no herbicides, chemical fertilisers or systemic treatments are used.
Emilien works as naturally as possible, allowing the terroir to express itself to the fullest. He also encourages diversity, guided by the knowledge he has acquired over the years and his innate sensitivity.
All his cuvées are fermented in wood, using only indigenous yeasts and no filtration. No liqueur d'expedition is used during the dégorgement, only wine from the same vintage.
Among his products, we would mention, for example, the Champagne Extra Brut “Les Basses Croix & Les Gillis”; this is an extraordinary Blanc de Blancs, the result of careful work in the vineyard and a careful selection of the harvest. Authentic, mineral, inviting and clearly refined, it wins you over from the very first sip.
